msi laptop screen goes black but still running
I am running 780ti SLI (EVGA). ... to change my GPU. I can hit the brakes, hit the gas, and the sound responds. The problem however, still persists. My second monitor doesn't, but sometimes will go black … I've also plugged in an external monitor to test if its a hardware issue or an in system issue. The computer is still running fine whilst the screen is black, I can even keep skype calls going and hear people talking while not seeing a thing. Some of these monitors are defective, and will go black during gameplay or won't turn on when starting PC. The only way to get the screen to come back is to force shut it off. If the computer has the high contrast feature enabled, it could be the reason for the black screen. Nothing works and I have to hold the power button to force a reboot, after which everything works perfect.
